Silhouette keepsake workshop

Paint a meaningful heirloom piece of art while being guided by professional silhouette artist, Ashlimarierose! Together, we'll go step by step to create a custom silhouette portrait of you, someone you love, or even a pet! We will also explore the Victorian meaning of flowers and you will have the option to paint some special blooms around your portrait! 

**This class is meant for all skill levels- different examples from simple silhouettes to intricate floral designs are included in the photos above.  Everyone will go home with a special piece!**



When: Saturday, May 18th, 2024 12-2 pm (Feel free to show up a bit early if you'd like to meet/go over reference photos and grab coffee!)


Where: Pinner House in Suffolk, VA

 Coffee & other delicious treats from Cafe Davina will be available for purchase during the workshop!

 What to Bring:Two 8x10 copies of a side profile photo (If you have any questions, please email me at hello@ashlimarierose.com!)

If you need help taking your own photo, please arrive 15 minutes early and I'm happy to take your photo and print them for you)

Photo Tips: Take your photo in a well lit area so its easier to capture details. Make sure that your profile image takes up at least half of the 8x10 photo as it will be traced directly onto the 8x10 panel. 

We will be working with acrylic paint so wear clothes that you're okay with getting a bit messy!

Let's create a beautiful pastel living succulent wreath with homegrown succulents at the most gorgeous b&b around VA! Think garden party with succulents plus carefully crafted coffee and tea!

Melissa will teach you all about these wonderful plants and how easy they are to care for. We will have many choices on how to customize and create this unique and unusual wreath that will last for many seasons.
All supplies and hands on guidance are provided for you with many laughs along the journey to create your very own!

Join us early for coffee and some delicious bites at the cafe Davina. I'd love to meet you and talk plants! Don't forget the camera for this dreamy location in the garden.

This workshop is designed to take the stigma of watercolor painting and make it more approachable and enjoyable!  We will teach different painting techniques, blending colors and spend the bulk of the time working on a final piece that you can display in your home.  This workshop is designed for anyone that desires to explore a new creative outlet.

No prior experience is needed. Recommend for age 14 to adult.
